Olmesartan Medoxomil 40mg tablets belong to the class of medications called Anti-hypertensives, which are primarily used for the treatment of high blood pressure (hypertension). Hypertension (high blood pressure) is a long-term chronic condition, in that the blood pressure is persistently elevated at higher than normal levels. This condition can be life-threatening if left untreated for too long. Hypertension or High Blood Pressure occurs because of several reasons such as age, Genetics, being Overweight, High Alcohol consumption, high salt in the diet, and Not getting enough exercise.
