Precautions
- Do not take anti-inflammatory medicines such as ibuprofen along with Telmisartan without consulting your doctor.
- Uzitel-40 Tablets may raise your blood potassium levels. It would be better not to take any additional potassium supplements or foods like bananas and broccoli.
- Do not stop taking the medicine without talking to your doctor. Stopping suddenly can raise your blood pressure, which can be dangerous for you.
- Telmisartan can worsen kidney problems, so you should consult your doctor if you experience swelling in the feet, ankles, or hands, or unexplained weight gain.
- Telmisartan doesn’t treat high blood pressure, but it does control it. Therefore, you may need to take it for the rest of your life.
- Since telmisartan may reduce blood glucose levels in diabetic patients, it is important to monitor your blood glucose levels regularly. If you are diabetic, consult your doctor as your insulin or antidiabetic medications may need to be adjusted.
Direction To Use
- Do not consume Telmisartan or any other medicine on your own. Medicines should be taken as doctor’s recommendations only.
- Generally, Telmisartan should be taken once a day, usually in the morning or evening. Take a glass of water to swallow the entire tablet.
- Avoid chewing, crushing, or breaking the tablet.
